Fictitious Stories which Tells us an Escape from the Modern World.

That Old Man.

(Keynotes: NRC,Detention Centers, Old age home)

Now, Decades later here he came. An Old Man (nearly 80 year old) sitting at sea coast looking the Dusk at horizon, the sun goes down deep in the sea and thinking how long it take him to understand that which is right the Dusk or the Dawn?
When the Dusk came along with its darker side(night) seems to provides great comfort, On the other hand when Dawn came with full of light looks the world full of color and life. His conscious says either it is dark but feel relaxed, But when he opens his blurred eyes in day light everything is again looks so pretty, colorful and everyone looks full of life and think it is how they have to work even if forever apart but meets at Dusk and Dawn - Day and Night.
When he came from his 'old age home' some one give his a piece of paper - a Notice, tells him to provide necessary documents to prove his citizenship(NRC) ... What?
Now? at this age, he can't even able to remember his long journey from his birth to this old age home. How can I prove myself? From where can I get all these documents they want from me? where will I go? WAIT! Am I not a citizen of this country anymore? After 80 years of living in this country i have to prove myself?
He can't able to remember his name or he don't want to, only thing he remember is once his father goes to take part in movement/protests against Britishers and never came back home and during Partition he left alone struggling to his life and death came at this age.
Now, it is dark at the coast, it was a dark night no stars in the sky, no moon light everywhere does darker, he feel relaxed.
The next morning there were no Old Man. Nobody see him again nor anyone came from old age home to look after him.
Once someone heard people say that night the sea level at the coast gets higher than ever even it was dark night. Perhaps the old Man thought a separated life from the Modern World where no one came for any inquiry for prof of his citizenship and no fear of get into Detention centers (The Living Hell).    God knows .....where he gone.
